Our Web site includes a sampling of one of the most unique and enjoyable aspects of working at Cairncross & Hempelmann—our collection of artwork by Northwest Masters.

The collection, started in 1987 by founder H. Raymond Cairncross and Chairman John Hempelmann, includes a stunning array of pieces by artists of the NW School, including Guy Anderson, William Cumming, Kenneth Callahan, Morris Graves, Mark Tobey and others.
The collection has become even more central to all of us at CH& since our offices moved to the Collins Building in 2001. The Collins Building (1893) once contained artists' lofts populated by some of the greats of the Northwest School; in fact, a stroll through the lobby outside our reception area includes a number of Mary Randlett photographs that captured at least one of those artists in the spaces where we now work.
Our offices were designed with several goals in mind—the desire to best reflect the personality of the firm, but also to highlight this collection in a way that allowed everyone who works here, or works with us, to find something new and interesting around every corner.
We believe a comfortable and stimulating work environment fosters creative thinking, innovation and true insight. If you are interested in experiencing the art for yourself, just ask your attorney at Cairncross & Hempelmann—we're always delighted to share this remarkable collection.
