Scott advises clients on corporate finance, securities compliance, mergers and acquisitions, start-ups, domestic and international joint ventures and general business planning. Specifically, his experience includes:

  • Public and private offerings of corporate equity and debt (IPOs, institutional and venture capital placements);
  • Business mergers, share exchanges, recapitalizations, consolidations, and stock and asset acquisitions;
  • Counseling start-up and mature companies as to legal and capital structure, governance and dispute resolution; and
  • Structuring of joint ventures with domestic and foreign partners.
In addition to his role as Managing Partner at Cairncross & Hempelmann, Scott devotes a portion of his time to his position as President of the Advisory Council of KEXP, a Seattle public radio station described as an “innovative, influential cultural force in the Seattle community.”
