Donald is one of the leading lawyers in land use and real estate development matters in Seattle.  He has guided many of the region's significant business park, retail, and mixed-use projects to successful conclusion through creative application of laws including:

  • The Growth Management Act
  • The State Environmental Policy Act
  • The Shoreline Management Act
  • Various wetland regulatory programs
His clients include owners and developers of industrial, commercial, retail, institutional, and residential properties.  As Chairman of the Government Affairs Committee of NAIOP, the commercial real estate organization, Donald is active in the crafting of legislation that affects the commercial real estate industry.
