CH& Welcomes Jessica Roe and Jonathan Tebbs
Cairncross & Hempelmann is thrilled to announce that Jessica L. Roe and Jonathan D. Tebbs have joined the firm’s outstanding team of attorneys. These well-rounded attorneys are key to achieving the firm’s strategic growth plan. Jessica L. Roe joins the Land Use team. Her experience gives her strong services in drafting motions used in litigation and administrative hearings related to the Land Use Petition Act, the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) and design review challenges. She advises clients regarding zoning, legal use, development standards, historical landmarks, and housing affordability requirements for projects in eight Puget Sound jurisdictions.
In addition to her land use practice, Jessica prepares applications and letters to government bodies advocating for code amendments, requesting reviews of decisions, or permit approvals, that result in favorable outcomes.
Jessica earned her J.D. from the Seattle University School of Law. Prior to law school, she devoted her time to a number of non-profit organizations, including the National Family Farm Coalition, Via Campesina International, and Antero Resources Corporation. Her involvement is apparent in the strength of her work and has given her acknowledgement in associations such as the Border Agricultural Workers Project and the U.N. Department of Economic and Social Affairs.
Jonathan D. Tebbs joins the Litigation team. He focuses on commercial litigation in addition to handling business disputes in state and federal courts. He has knowledge and experience that covers appellate, securities, antitrust, trade secrets, and products liability litigation. He has also represented financial institutions in a variety of civil matters, including consumer class actions and arbitrations, mortgage foreclosures and related litigation and regulatory compliance.
In addition to his litigation practice, Jonathan worked as a Judicial Extern for The Honorable R. David Proctor, United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, and a law clerk with The Office of Capital Writs in Austin, Texas.
Jonathan earned his B.A. in English Literature, summa cum laude, from the University of Cincinnati and earned his J.D., summa cum laude and Order of the Coif, from the University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, he was a Campbell Moot Court Board Member and the Executive Editor and Managing Board Member of the Alabama Law Review.
