Cairncross & Hempelmann attorneys and staff attend Chief Seattle Club’s 2019 Annual Luncheon “Our Indian City” to show our continued support for the betterment of urban Native people in the Pioneer Square district and the City of Seattle.
Chief Seattle Club’s Executive Director Colleen Echohawk and her team have been tirelessly committed to homeless advocacy and have received unprecedented government and philanthropic support to build permanent housing for homeless American Indian and Alaska Native peoples.
The Chief Seattle Club is a nonprofit dedicated to the needs of Native American and Alaska Native people who are experiencing homelessness in Seattle. It provides a safe and sacred place to rest, revive and nurture the spirit of urban Native people. The organization serves approximately 100 urban Native people a day, seven days a week, providing services such as hot meals, clothing, laundry, showers, resources for sobriety and wellness, and cultural programming.
