As a member of CH&’s litigation practice group, Emily advises clients on both construction and complex commercial litigation. Emily is both agile and rigorous as a litigator, working with a broad range of design professionals and corporate clients. Emily takes the time to master the technical subject matter of the issue at hand to get the full picture and appropriately identify a practical strategy to resolve the dispute. Her advocacy for her clients has resulted in multi-million-dollar settlements.

Before becoming an attorney, Emily worked as a business consultant focused on change management and process improvement. Emily seeks to leverage this business mindset in her work with her clients, proactively counseling, mitigating risk and litigating disputes. Emily’s experience in consulting also taught her the power of relationships and she prides herself on the attention and care she provides her clients.

In addition to her strong litigation record, Emily has written and implemented corporate governance documents for organizations, acted as general counsel for non-profit and for-profit organizations, and has been actively involved in the administration of the firms where she practiced.

  • Represented multi-million-dollar real estate media corporation in trademark infringement and employment litigation, resulting in favorable settlement for the client corporation.
  • Successfully represented multi-million-dollar conglomerate corporation in complex insurance coverage dispute litigation involving 30 years of property loss and personal injury claims.
  • Provided legal and secured financing guidance to non-profit association’s multi-million-dollar real estate purchases.
