Simon Uppal

Attorney

Simon is a member of the CH& Land Use practice group. His practice focuses on land use and environmental law for projects throughout the state of Washington, including zoning analysis, entitlements, and permitting issues. These transactions involve commercial, office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use projects.

Simon is also a licensed Washington real estate agent. Through his experience as a realtor, Simon understands the business needs of clients and leverages his legal and land use experience to provide solutions.

Simon earned his J.D. from the Seattle University School of Law, and was a Washington State Scholar (a scholarship awarded to the top 1% of the applicant pool). While in law school, Simon was a Judicial Extern at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Washington. He also interned at OAC Services, Inc., externed with the University of Washington’s Federal Tax Clinic, and assisted low and moderate income clients through the Washington State Bar Association’s Moderate Means Program.

  • Simon is committed to giving back to the community.  He regularly volunteers at the United Way Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which provides low- and moderate-income individuals and families with free assistance in filing federal tax returns.
  • Outside of the office, Simon enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and cheering for the Seahawks and Mariners.
