Jeremy F. Wood

Attorney

As a member of the CH& Employment team, Jeremy’s practice focuses on counseling businesses on compliance with federal and Washington employment laws, agency regulations, and proactive workplace planning, including employee training programs, handbooks, and policy development. He also advises on employee and consumer privacy obligations that may affect the workplace. To ensure wraparound service for his clients, Jeremy also defends employers in state and federal court across a range of employment matters, drawing not only on his deep experience as a litigator but also as a part-time judge.

Before joining CH&, Jeremy practiced at the largest labor and employment firm in the world, where he represented employers in complex disputes, including matters involving trade secrets and workplace guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier in his career, Jeremy served as an Assistant Seattle City Attorney, representing the City in constitutional and high-stakes litigation. He has also advised private and governmental clients on environmental regulation, natural resources, and corporate affairs.

Jeremy regularly speaks and writes on emerging workplace issues. His insights have been featured in major media and industry publications, including The Seattle Times, SHRM, HR Dive, Unemployment Claims Journal, and Tribal Gaming & Hospitality. He has also presented to regional and national industry groups on workplace health and compliance issues. Jeremy also maintains a robust pro bono docket, representing clients from migrant families seeking asylum to legislative bodies defending police transparency statutes.
