Seattle Hospitality Group Makes Strategic Investment in Ethan Stowell Restaurants
Founded in 2002 by Howard Wright, Seattle Hospitality Group (SHG) is a privately held company that owns or holds interests in event management, hospitality, tourism, and transportation companies in Washington, Oregon, and California. SHG is a long-term client of Cairncross & Hempelmann (CH&). In October 2019 SHG made a strategic investment in Ethan Stowell Restaurants (ESR).
The CH& team, led by Bob Seidel along with Samantha Waltz and Tony Nguyen, helped SHG successfully complete the financing to acquire part ownership in ESR. Their work included completing an extensive due diligence review, negotiating unique and complex deal terms, drafting the financing documents, and advising on corporate governance matters.
SHG, ranked in the top 40 of private companies in Washington state, is working alongside hundreds of industry companies to raise the bar to deliver the very best in tourism and hospitality experiences. Their newly-formed partnership with ESR will allow strategic expansion, with its eyes set on becoming the Northwest’s “preeminent food and beverage experience curator.”
Seattle Hospitality Group is led by Howard Wright, an executive, entrepreneur, and aviator with deep business experience in the hospitality, transportation and tourism industries. He is widely recognized for his civic leadership and ability to bring together groups on all sides of an issue. Howard has interests in many of the area’s top hotels, in addition to being part-owner of iconic destinations like the Seattle Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass.
