Cairncross & Hempelmann attorney John Hempelmann moderates in a panel titled “Best Practices for Transit Oriented Development” as part of the ULI Northwest: Cascadia Disrupted – Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2021 program.

John is joined by Rick Krochalis (Public Development Advisor), Obinna Amobi (Mercy Housing), and Sloan Dawson (Sound Transit).  The discussion highlights Transit Oriented Development (“TOD”) best practices from transit agencies in the United States and Canada.  The group shares Sound Transit’s TOD policy and the current status of a wide variety of projects underway in the Puget Sound region.  The panel is part of a week-long program that joins ULI British Columbia and ULI Northwest to feature thought leaders in the real estate and build environment industries from throughout the Cascadia region.
