CH& Partners Terence Scanlan and Alan Schuchman attend the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Annual Convention in Washington, DC. The convention not only hosts noteworthy speakers but features education sessions on industry topics, roundtables, networking, and hill visits. ACEC has roots dating back more than 100 years and is a federation of 52 state and regional councils representing more than 600,000 engineers, architects, land surveyors, and other specialists. In addition to their attendance, Alan presented an employment law update at the conference. Terry participated in his role as a member of the National Risk Management Committee, whose purpose is to assist member companies and others in understanding and managing risk and, on their behalf, to advocate changes in legislation and regulation to properly control or allocate risk.
