CH& Founding Partner & Chairman John Hempelmann Participates in “Designing Cities in Response to COVID-19” Panel

Cairncross & Hempelmann Founding Partner & Chairman John Hempelmann participates in a panel discussion titled “Designing Cities in Response to COVID-19” on Friday, June 26 at 4pm Pacific.

Faced with the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic, homebuilders are addressing how to adapt to create even safer spaces and homes now and in the future.

John joins panelists Chris Meany, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Wilson Meany, and Kate White, Associate Principal and Planning Policy Practice Leader in Arup’s San Francisco office.  The event is moderated by Xiomara Cisneros, Director at the Bay Area Council and is co-presented by Urban Land Institute (“ULI”) San Francisco and the San Francisco Housing Action Coalition.

John has been practicing land use and real estate law for over 40 years, and one of his focus areas is transit-oriented development (“TOD”).  John serves as Co-Chair of the TOD Council of ULI’s Northwest District Council and is the immediate past Chair of ULI’s National TOD Council.
