CH& to Provide Pro-Bono Representation to the Seattle Center Foundation and Resident Organizations
Cairncross & Hempelmann will provide pro-bono representation to the Seattle Center Foundation and resident organizations at the Seattle Center.
Cairncross & Hempelmann has pledged to represent the Seattle Center Foundation as well as Seattle Center organizations that join a coalition led by the Foundation. The focus of the representation will be to respond to the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (“DEIS”) being prepared to assess the environmental impacts of Sound Transit’s proposal to construct a light rail line from Westlake to Ballard that will serve Seattle Center. The response will include strategizing and negotiating revisions to and mitigation for Sound Transit’s preferred alternative for the line to the extent that it creates problems for the Foundation and/or certain Seattle Center organizations.
CH&’s Real Estate and Land Use practice groups bring a wealth of experience, deep industry knowledge, and a highly collaborative approach to tackle complex land development challenges successfully.
