Washington Convention Center Expansion Could Bring King County $275 Million

CH& is proud to support the ongoing efforts of our client King County, in their sale of the four-acre Convention Place Station site to the Washington State Convention Center.

If approved by the King County Council, the site will advance the Washington State Convention Center expansion project, and double the size of the existing center.  The expansion will help plug the estimated $240 million per year in lost revenue due to size constraints of the current infrastructure.

As King County Executive Dow Constantine said in a recent Daily Journal of Commerce article, “The expansion of the Convention Center will generate thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in economic growth for the region. This agreement is good for taxpayers, transit riders and workers.”

We can’t agree more!
