Snoqualmie Indian Tribe Purchases Seattle’s Native-Owned Eighth Generation

Eighth Generation, a Native-owned and operated company that was founded in 2008 in Seattle, Washington, was sold to the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe in November 2019.  Dwight Wheaton and Aurelia Tunru led the Cairncross & Hempelmann team, which represented the seller in all aspects of the negotiation and sale.

Eighth Generation is an apparel and products company that has an artist-centric approach and creates and distributes 100% Native-designed products.  This sale involved complex legal nuances involving Indian tribal law and the strong legacy that Eighth Generation has established within the Native community over the last decade.  The CH& team was able to help the company achieve its growth goals while maintaining the deep connections with Native artists across the United States.
