Cairncross & Hempelmann Welcomes Isaac Patterson

Cairncross & Hempelmann is pleased to welcome Isaac Patterson the firm’s Land Use practice group.

Isaac’s practice includes project permitting, land use code compliance, environmental review under SEPA, design review and land use appeals, comprehensive plan amendments, and Growth Management Act matters. He represents clients on a wide range of developments, including multifamily housing, warehouse and logistics facilities, commercial projects, educational facilities, and high-end residential developments in urban, suburban, and rural jurisdictions.

Before entering private practice, Isaac gained valuable experience working on land use and environmental matters as a Legal Extern with the Seattle City Attorney’s Office Land Use Section and the Master Builders Association of Pierce County. In those roles, he worked on issues involving impact fees, Growth Management Act planning, Shoreline Management Act compliance, SEPA procedures, and proceedings before the Seattle Hearing Examiner.

His arrival reflects the growth of our Land Use practice, as we continue to enhance our capabilities and serve clients on some of the region’s most complex and consequential development projects.
